The Pet WhispererR - Stephen R. Blake, DVM

Postby karen » Sun Sep 03, 2006 4:43 pm

I have just received this book direct from Dr Blake (check the introduction section of this forum) and am touched by the tender way it is written with stories (as he says) about my friends, the animals.
As regular contributors to this forum will know, all our five children were born at home and have never been to a medical doctor and when the children were young we had cats and always treated them holistically. Due to international moves we no longer have pets as it has been too heartbreaking to leave them behind because we would not vaccinate them since we didn't vaccinate the children) therefore we were never able to house them if we went on holiday and obviously it was a requirement to ship them around the world.
The insights Dr Blake gives into the lives of 'his friends, the animals' is one of purity and loyalty and his passion to have pets that are fed naturally and cared for without chemicals is a delight to read.

Thankyou for your book Dr Blake.
I hope others see the value of treating our little friends with the same principles - 'first do no harm'!

That is so sad about having to harm the animals or lose them. Sad.
Before my dog and I started natural healing, we would look at each other and ask which of us would be first to go. Thank goodness for natural healing and no drugs.
Sam still sleeps long hours during the day, but he is better than he was. Me... I'm about 200% better.
Hey, what was the oil I need for more sleepy bye? It wasn't Valor, but something spelled like that. I guess. I take a good nap during the day, and get back at it most of the rest of the day and half the night, eh.

Thanks
Terry
