Hello everybody! and Help!

Postby Galicia » Thu Feb 19, 2009 10:57 am

Hello,

I discovered Raindrop Technique last year and it has certainly changed my life. I attended a workshop and ordered the oils kit immediately. Since then it's been nearly a year of interesting discoveries through these little magic healers.
I became so fascinated that I started a Clinical Aromatherapy diploma course only a few months later. I will qualify in June this year, hopefully!
Now I am in the the process of doing my case studies for the course and here is where I need your help guys...
One of my volunteers has Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis and another one has prostate cancer. I have a few oils selected for them but would like to get some advise, these are not easy cases...
Has any of you had any experience with patients with a similar problem?
Any recommendations?

Hope to hear from any of you soon!

Thanks
Galicia

Hi Galicia,

Welcome to the forum and great to hear the positive changes in your life since you've got to know about Y.L. oils.

Have you got the Essential Oil desk reference ?
There is great info in about Lupus, I'd wrote it out for a friend before ....in general using RDT will be of great benefit.

Have you thought of using the Deep relief roll-on?

Which extra oils have you looked out?

Forum has been very quiet sadly to say, I'm sure, that there are lot's of therapists out there, who could share their experiences.

It would be great to hear how you are getting on Galicia and good luck with your case studies and final exam.

Thanks!

No, I don't have that book. Just checked the prices on-line :O
I have a few ideas, I will start with some detoxing oils as she's taking tons of medication and she doesn't drink water! (She's been told off about this)
Will use some Rose and Frankincense on a facial massage at the end which will help with her disconnection from herself/life.

By the way, I'm also in Edinburgh. Still have to learn how to do my profile here...

Well, will keep you informed

Cheers

Hi Galicia,

I'd bought several books a couple of years ago to keep me going with information from the UK website http://www.aireau.co.uk/acatalog/Young_Living.html ,which is a lot cheaper for postage than ordering from US.

There is a Lupus blend:
30drops Cypress
30drops Lemongrass
30drops Endoflex

Endoflex with bathsalts and Vitaflex on bottom of feet.
Topical Immupower over liver and feet 2-3 x daily.

There is also in another section in this forum about Lupus [if you go to the searchbox -top right- and type in Lupus, you'll get the other info].

If you like to meet up and share, just contact me with my e-mail address....it's always great to hear from others, who get into Y.L.

Where are you doing your training?

For Prostate cancer it mentions a blend of:
10 drops Frankincense
5 drops Myrrh
3 drops Sage

Also to use Protec etc.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Love and light,
Susan

Hi,

Thanks for the information, I'm overloaded now :D
I am studying in Falkirk at the Academy of Aromatherapy and Massage. Apparently is one of the most complete programs in the country (we're doing chemistry and botany!) and is the program used by Napier University and it's know in the process of being taught in China!
For my case studies I have to perform the "official way", so I have a standard massage sequence to follow and I forget about undiluted oils...Also, they're not very open to the subtle uses of the oils so I'll have to use normal individual oils not the synergies.
Anyway, when I finish the treatment with my volunteers I'll tell them about "the other options".
Thank you for your advise

Cheers

Hi,

How did you get to know about Y.L.?

Do you know Yvonne?
She's been teaching RDT for several years in Edinburgh and manged to get insurance for RDT [without having to do massage etc first].
As long as someone has got A&P and does a course [RDT] with case studies, they able to get insurance now, which is great,as it means not having to use those other oils/wipes etc.

Not easy to find someone around here, who does just the A&P part.

How long have you been using Y.L. oils?

Looking forward to hear back....

Hello,

I came across one of Yvonne's brochures when I was at my chiropractor's, who also happened to be one of Yvonne's old friends.
I found it quite interesting and I booked for the workshop as many members of my family suffer from back pain.
I had a great time during the workshop, she's a good teacher and quite fun too. And she has cute cats!
After that I registered with YL and bought a few oils and was quite amazed of how powerful they are.
That lead me to read more about essential oils and ultimately to start training in Aromatherapy.
I know about getting insurance cover if you have A&P, but I really wanted to study Aromatherapy anyway...
My A&P exam will be in May and I'll hand over my case studies in June/July.

Well, thanks for replying.

Cheers now

Hi,

Good luck with your exams....good on you for doing it .

Yeah, her cats are cute and very friendly.....I had a fear of cats, after 1 jumped into my face, when I was young, but since 1 of her cats insisted in lying beside me during Reiki ,I'd lost my fear and am able to look at cats differently now :) ,which is great.

I assume, that you must be in Yvonne's other "leg" [downline] from me.

Were you able to buy the spiral book [Reference guide to Essential Oils by Connie and Alan Higley] when you were doing your course at Yvonne's?
She usually sells them, perhaps had run out.
It was the first book, I'd bought and is packed with great info, very similar to the Essential Desk Reference, but i think for that one needs to be send away to US [from Abundant Health].

Just ask, if you get stuck, as there's always someone in the forum, who has some experience about something.
Been very quite in the past few months, therefore always great to hear from someone.

Health and Happyness,
Susan
